I admire Sr. Martha for the wonderful job that she is doing of feeding the hungry on the roads and all those who approach her, besides taking care of the orphans and the destitute. I am glad to be associated with her though in a small way. It's nice to distribute food to the hungry and see the smiles on their face and sometimes even get blessings from them .

Among the thousand two nuns moving among them with food and water like unexpected. Many people who were looking for food and drinking water, even the police. There were so many people who are trying to help them to take out the bodies they also took water from us and specially thanked us for being with the people and all the support. All that we could say is that we are with you all.
Overview of Street Outreach
After the Sneha Sagar Society had done
the above-mentioned outreach activities, Sr Martha felt the need to continue
this noble service to our poor brothers and sisters on the streets of Mumbai.
We decided to cover the Streets from Dahisar to Andheri. Every Saturday, the
Sisters and volunteers distribute cooked or donated food to the poor on the
streets. Sometimes we go Andheri and sometimes we go Dahisar side. Every week
we distribute food to 100 to 300 people.

Outreach
to quench the thirst of the thirsty
One day during summer
when we were distributing food to the poor on the street, a small child came up
to us and asked us to give him water. Because of this we decided to start a new
project to distribute water along with food. We made an appeal to the people to
donate their used water bottles to us so that we could reuse them. We would clean
and fill those bottles and distribute water too along with the food to the poor
on the streets.
·
Monsoon

it to the needy. We distributed nearly 1600 blankets to the poor on the streets
of Mumbai and the Villages. We took permission and distributed blankets to KEM,
TATA and Ambedkar hospital.
On 15th
August 2019, the Sneha Sagar Society, the Legion of Mary and one of the
communities of the Parish of St Anthony in Malad West distributed food, water and footwear to 400
